Geeks on Film
First I must send out a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my wonderful geek husband of two years now. I love him more each day, and that’s not just me saying that. Geeks in love stay in love.
You make every day better.

I dabbled in amateur film making when I was in college. Of course then I had resources that I no longer have outside the classroom. I was spending a semester in England where I took a class that allowed me and my teammates to create two short films. I attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. This was the most expensive of the schools I looked at toward the end of high school, but it was the one I had to go to, no compromise, because of what it offered. My first year of schooling was $28,000. By the time I graduated the yearly tuition had increased to $38,000. That’s a $10,000 increase in four years. Frightening, right?

How Geeks Get Married
From friendship to courtship to marriage, my relationship with my husband John was riddled with geek events and bonds that proved long before we got our acts together that we were meant to be.
Somehow, through many obstacles and several missed opportunities, everything worked out for us, proving that geeks can find love, and yes, it is worth waiting for someone who actually wants to play that video game with you, or watch that anime, or reminisce about the injustice of Firefly being cancelled.
Let me tell you our rather ridiculous, geek-ridden tale.
